Portuguese Dry Rub and Spice Mix
Barbeque season is here! Spice up with Portuguese dry rub mix. It’s perfect for you to have on hand for marinating chicken, pork, shrimp or even beef.

4 tablespoons of salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons of sweet paprika
2 teaspoons of crushed black pepper
2 teaspoons of cumin powder (optional)
Optional if want a spicy blend (1 teaspoon of Piri Piri or Cayenne pepper powder)
Place all ingredients into a bowl. Mix well and place into clean dry glass jars. Store in the refrigerator.
If you want to make a spicy wet rub simply add a few teaspoons of piri piri or your favorite hot sauce.
